The Role:

The Senior Hardware Validation Engineer will be a member of the hardware validation team with responsibilities for the test and validation of the analog, digital, and embedded sub-systems for new products. This will require close cooperation with the design and factory teams. You will work at the integrated circuit and product systems level. In this role, you will:

· Research into new test/validation technologies/methodologies
· Work with design teams to develop validation plans
· Develop automation frameworks and test tools
· Write scripts to automate tests
· Develop firmware/scripts/applications to test the hardware
· Provide functional verification of electrical subsystems
· Debug/tune of custom hardware
· Work with design team to debug issues
· Report validation status

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related filed or equivalent experience
· 7+ years of overall experience in validation/test experience
· Experience with NI Test Stand, NI LabVIEW, and/or NI LabWindows/CVI
· Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment
· Experience with prototyping solutions and bench testing methodology Schematic capture and PCB design experience
· Experience with test automation with background in scripting
· Experience working in a laboratory environment
· Understanding of EE fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with video, cameras, audio, power supplies, I2C/SPI/UART busses, and electrical signal characterization
· C/C++ programming experience
· Strong scripting experience (i.e. shell, Perl, Python, etc.)
· Experience with battery powered, wireless, embedded HW/SW consumer devices
