Essential Job Functions:
- Primary agent for product design and verification testing to insure that all design and analysis activities are complete, accurate, and meet program requirements.
- Assume complete responsibility for assigned proposals, projects, investigations, and/or other tasks under the guidance of a supervising manager.
- Work effectively with customers, suppliers and all functional groups (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, business development, etc.) to achieve program objectives.
- Satisfy all department, project, and customer requirements including safety, quality, customer satisfaction, delivery and cost.
- Project Management / Technical Leadership Responsibilities
- Estimate and maintain effective control of project cost and schedule.
- Provide instruction, guidance, oversight or support to other personnel for completing activities such as building prototypes, design verification testing, process capability studies and equipment Gage R&R.
- Support productivity improvement and process standardization initiatives by participating in Kaizen events or equivalent activities.
- Engineering Responsibilities:
- Product design from concept, through qualification and production readiness.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation including technology plans, proposals, capability studies, procedures, and test reports.
- Create and manage product drawings, drawing revisions and other design documentation in concurrence with company procedures.
- Responsible for applying problem solving techniques that lead to a root cause and robust corrective actions.
- Design optimization and process capability through testing and analysis of variance.
