Controls Instrumentation Engineer II - VT job in VT - September 2014



We are looking for an engineer with solid controls or test experience and NI Labview.

Company is seeking an experienced Controls Instrumentation Engineer II. Reporting to the
Laboratory Manager, this individual will be responsible for the control systems. The
individual will be responsible for the development of control systems for rotating test
equipment and turbomachinery. The individual will carry out the specification, purchase,
implementation and operation of state of the art test equipment and data acquisition
systems. The individual will also support the growth of process controls in commercial
offerings.

This will include the use of PLCs and the associated interfaces with process equipment.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operation and support of the magnetic
bearing test equipment and implementation of magnetic bearings for new projects,
development of control systems for test equipment and engineered hardware, and
supporting the creation of control strategies for products and process equipment.

Required experience includes an earned degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
(B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D.) and 5-10 years of experience as a Controls or Test Engineer, NI
LabView experience required. Limited travel is expected. US Citizen or Green Card
holder preferred.
